- Basil Essential Oil
This herb can help with trapped gas, digestive spams, colic or any nervous tension affecting the bowels and digestive infections.
- German Chamomile
You can use the dried herb or essential oil. It helps with inflammation and allergies, soothes the digestive tract and the nervous system. This is a good choice when digestive issues are caused by the nerves.
- Roman Chamomile Essential Oil
This calming herb also is a good choice when digestive upset is caused by stress or anxiety. It helps with pain, microbes, nerves, digestion, and liver support.
- Green Clay
This remedy helps absorb toxins and an excessive amount of amount of acid in the digestive tract. It also soothes the lining of the digestive system.
- Fennel Essential Oil
This essential oil fights microbe infections and helps to calm spams in the digestive tract.
- Ginger Essential Oil
Relieves the feelings of nausea when inhaled, it settles the stomach and stimulates a sluggish digestive tract.
- English Marigold/Calendula
This dried herb soothes stomach acid irritation, fights fungal/microbial/parasitic infections, calms inflammation and helps ease diarrhea.
- Sweet Orange Essential Oil
When inhaled it helps with depression, uplifting an animal’s mood. It is also helps with microbe infections, digestion, sedative easing tension and spasms. This is a good choice if digestion concerns are linked to depression or low mood.
- Peppermint Essential Oil
When inhaled this essential oil helps with pain, infection, stimulates digestion, nervous tension within the digestive tract and the mind.
- Slippery Elm
Used as a powder, this soothing herb can be offered when there is irritation in the digestive tract that is caused by an infection. This herb is also useful if there is an internal injury from an animal swallowing sharp or abrasive objects. If the animal is experiencing an excessive amount of stomach acid, this would be a good remedy to present.
